California Bound

Well no news on paintings.  But I am painting like a mad woman and soon I hope to have evidence of that

No new photo for the day.  its had more work on it but I'm at the point that I just
want to finish it up and that would not do the painting any justice.  Im sure other artist
do this but its an impatient habit.  Instead Im putting it aside to work on another piece
and do some drawing.  Drawing is the foundation that all artist need to keep up with
so that work does not get sloppy.  so I will attach a photo of an older piece and I hope
come back soon to see the finale on Wishing Well

 Joining Leslie Byrd Saeta in her newest challenge.  Ordering panels now for the

30 paintings in 30 days.  Should be fun and at times a struggle with my current pattern 

of painting.

"Saying I Love You" Just in time for Valentines Day

 I have not posted in a while.  Working at making a few bigger flower pieces.  I am still  working out the direction I want to take.  I miss landscapes when I am doing flowers and miss flowers when I'm doing landscapes.  Can I just say artists are all just one of a kinds.  I do think that I'm continually working towards post impressionism.  Van Gogh still remains my main man.   The other artist that inspires me is John Ottis Adams and  JEH MacDonald.  I am enthralled by the Seven and that group out of Canada with the well known artist Tom Thomson.  Some where in all this brush work and exciting color I will break new ground.
