A New Week and New Pieces

16 x 16  "Your Electrifying Kiss"

Working on lots of new pieces.  Ideas are flowing through the brain.    As I discussed last
week this piece was so different and it was about to hit the round when a very good friend said
to readdress this and figure it out.  I do know that I run to this blue everytime I have an
issue.  It is my safety net and my most beloved color.  ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

12 x 12  "Written in Love"

So a little about this painting.  When you are doing a series and they are one at a time really they
stand on their own.  This one I saw as I was cooking my mothers receipe for spagetti sauce.  So
I would have to say I owe this one to her.  Hence the title.  I hope a wonderful weekend for ya'all

What's in a Title

14 x 14  "Under Her Breath"

A lot of times the title comes rushing at me before I have the first layer on.  It's quite
amazing to me that the painting will speak and have the title.  I am a sap for the unique
relationship between people and the saying that are almost a clique.  I have fun with this.

The paintings that struggle to be heard are in a constant state of morphing until they rise
through the paint and scream "I'm here"  I'm done.....

Those are the paintings that I love the most.  The painting above had so many hats on before
it rose up and said enough.

going a little bigger

20 x 20  "Whispering Memories"

Have you ever gone fishing and see all those fish in the water and not one will
bite.  I feel memories are like that.  We have vague recollections and they just
swim around in our head.  But I do think after having older parents that memories are
like the fish stories.  Whispers of the truth.  They have colored them til they are how
they want to remember them.  Okay enough. Too much mental thinking on titles.

12 x 12  Summer Crush

It is amazing how paintings can protest and put up a fight to come out and be what they are.  When I did landscapes the perimeters were so much more restrictive.  Doing abstracts they seem to take on
their own life.  Never sure where I might end up as they go through several revisions.   This one started all red and orange and here it is with the red as a faint memory underneath.  The shapes on the bottom reminded me of the butterflies we get in our stomach when we first meet someone we are gaga over.

Not much to say today.  I don't know how ya'all find so much to say. I guess I let my art
do the talking for me.  I Just love pink.  Working on a few new pieces.  Bigger and 2 very
colorful and one more pale and serene.  ENJOY!!!!
